SNC1P - Grade 9 Applied
Course Rationale:
This course enables students to develop their understanding of basic concepts in biology, chemistry, earth and space science, and physics, and to apply their knowledge of science to everyday situations. They are also given opportunities to develop practical skills related to scientific investigation.

Extra Help:
See the board in class for weekly schedule. Extra help is available most days at lunch.
How to Use this Site:
For most lessons you will see two files. One is the PowerPoint/Smart Notebook note used in class, the other is the student handout that students are given in class. They will need to fill in the blanks from the note and complete daily work on these handouts.
If a student is absent they will need to PRINT the student handout and USE the note to help them complete their note and the work assigned.
Additionally, unit plans, unit project information, test information, etc are posted under each unit.

1. Google, Google Classroom (be sure you are using Chrome as your browser)
2. Log In Using your PVNCVC account (you cannot use a personal gmail account!):
User Name: first four letters of last name + first four letters of (official) first name: smitjohn (so username is: smitjohn@pvncvc.ca, this is the same username as you use for logging into the school computers)
Password: username+daymonthfullyear of birth (no zeros in front of day or month): smitjohn3112000 (Birthday is November 3, 2000) OR it's the password you've set!
3. Enter your Google Classroom ID: 1sd0gjw (that's a zero in the middle)
Once you are logged in you should see an assignment, complete the assignment, when completed you must hit "Turn In" on your GoogleDoc page and then your work will be submitted to me electronically.
